Rich Baked Beef & Mushrooms Over Noodles |
Ingredients

* 2 1/2 lbs stew meat
* 2 (10 oz) cans cream of mushroom soup
* 1/3 cup Sherry
* 1/2 cup water
* 1 package dry onion soup mix
* 1 (4 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
* egg noodles cooked per package directions and drained.

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place all ingredients except noodles into a 3 quart casserole dish and stir.
3. Cover with foil and bake for 1 1/2 hour.
4. Serve over hot noodles.

I know you're thinking "sherry?" but really, go ahead and buy yourself a bottle for cooking. (Do NOT buy "cooking sherry." Yuck. Buy the real stuff.) There are so many great recipes that call for sherry that you'll be happy you did!
