Smoky Slow Roasted Beef Brisket

Ingredients

* 4 lb beef brisket
* 1 tablespoon salt
* 1 tablespoon pepper
* 2 tablespoons chili powder
* 2 tablespoons liquid smoke

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 275.
2. Place brisket in baking pan.
3. Pour liquid smoke over brisket then sprinkle with dry seasonings.
4. Cover and bake for 4 to 4 1/2 hours.

Story

Slow roasting at a low temperature makes briskets nice and tender. The chili powder and liquid smoke add a lot to the flavor. Serve it with some smashed oven baked sweet potatoes and green beans for a nice meal.

If you don't want to use liquid smoke, you can substitute 1 tablespoon of chili with 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika.
