Stew Style Pork Chops - Crock Pot |
Ingredients

* 6 pork chops
* 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
* 1/2 cup water
* 2 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced in circles
* 2 small onions, sliced in circles
* 3 carrots, peeled and sliced in circles

Directions

1. Put pork chops in crock pot.
2. Sprinkle soup mix on top then pour in water.
3. Top with vegetables.
4. Cook, covered, on LOW for 6 to 7 hours.

Sometimes the simplest recipes are the most satisfying. The classic potatoes-onions-carrots combination that is the standard bearer of any stew makes this dish taste like home.
You may want to brown the pork chops a little before putting them in the crock pot. Just heat a little oil in a heavy skillet and give them a quick saute on both sides. This will add a little more color and flavor to your final dish.
