When fresh broccoli is at a good price, you've got to find enough recipes to take advantage of it. I know we get bored with steamed broccoli or broccoli in casseroles, so this is a nice change.
Note: After I wash and cut up my broccoli I give it a very quick blanch in boiling hot water. I put in in a metal colander, boil water in a big pot, then just dip the broccoli in for about 15 to 30 seconds, immediately remove, shake so all the water comes out, and dump onto a cookie sheet to cool off. You don't want it to cook, you just want the flavor to come out and to remove some of the raw broccoli bitterness. You can also microwave it for about 1 minute, turning a few times. Watch it closely so it doesn't cook.
