Tex Mex Round Steak - Crock Pot |
Ingredients

* 1 1/2 lbs boneless round steak
* 2 cups frozen corn kernels, thawed and drained
* 18 oz jar chunky salsa
* 14 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* 1/2 cup water
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

1. Cut beef into 6-8 equal sized pieces then put in crock pot.
2. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over beef.
3. Cook, covered, on low for 8-9 hours.

Story
|
Round steak is one of those meats that cooks perfectly in a crock pot. Cooked slowly, round steak gets very fork tender. It also works well with lots of powerful flavors, so don't be stingy with the red pepper flakes. Use a good quality chunky salsa with loads of flavor, too. The better the ingredients you put in the crock pot, the better the flavor coming out of the crock pot!
