Your Own Bleu Cheese Dressing

Ingredients

* 1 1/2 cups crumbled bleu cheese, divided in half
* 1 (8 oz) container sour cream
* 1/4 cup half-and-half milk
* salt & pepper to taste

Directions

1. Place half the blue cheese in a large bowl and mash with a fork until creamy and smooth.
2. Add the remaining ingredients (including the other half of the bleu cheese) and stir until combined well.
3. Pour into glass jar with lid and store in refrigerator. This will keep for up to 2 weeks. Shake well each time you use it.

Story

Tired of buying bleu cheese dressing, getting it home and being disappointed that there's no bleu cheese in it? That's happened to me a lot. But, no more.

I like making my own dressings but somehow skipped over making bleu cheese dressing because I thought it would be too hard to figure out. The ingredients are simpler than I thought.

You just need something tangy (sour cream), something thick and creamy (half-n-half) and lots of bleu cheese! I smash up half the bleu cheese to blend the flavor a little better all through the dressing and to thicken the dressing even more. Enjoy!
