Easy Tuna Noodle Casserole |
(Kid-Favorite Tuna Casserole) |
Ingredients

* 1 (12 ounce) bag wide egg noodles
* 1/4 cup onions (finely chopped)
* 3 tablespoons butter
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1/4 cup milk
* 1 can tuna (drained and flaked)
* 1/2 cup peas
* 1/2 chicken stock cube

Directions

Cook egg noodles with peas according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
Melt butter in heavy skillet and sauté onions over low heat until tender (approximately 2 minutes). Add 1/2 stock cube and tuna and stir well for about 2 minutes.
Add milk and cream and heat through. Do not let cream boil. Gently stir until mixture is completely heated through.
Pour mixture over egg noodles, sprinkle with cheese and serve.

* If you have a little extra time, place combined tuna mixture and egg noodles in baking pan. Sprinkle with cheese and cook at 350F for 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden
