Pecan Banana Granola Bars

Ingredients

* 2 2/3 C oats
* 1/3 C flax seed meal
* 1/2 C dried cranberries
* 2/3 C pecans, chopped
* 1/2 TBSP cinnamon
* 2 medium bananas, mashed

* 1 egg, beaten
* 1/3 C canola oil
* 2 TBSP honey

Directions

1. Grease a baking sheet well and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine the first 6 ingredients together in a bowl.
3. Whisk the egg, oil and honey together in a bowl and stir into the banana mixture.
4. Shape the sticky dough into 1/3 inch thick layer on the baking sheet.
5. Bake 15 minutes or until a light golden brown.
6. Cool and cut into bars.

Story

I didn't know what to call these bars - breakfast, dessert, candy, cookies, or a snack? They're really a complete breakfast with a glass of milk. But, they also make a good snack. They're a healthy food disguised as a dessert or cookie, too.
