Beef & Chili-Dog Soup |

Ingredients
|
* 1 lb ground beef
* 1 package of hot dogs, cut into bite sized pieces
* 28 oz can diced tomatoes, not drained
* 2 cans (16 oz each) dark kidney beans, not drained
* 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
* 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (more or less to taste)
* shredded cheddar cheese for topping
* Frito Corn Chips for topping

Directions

1. Brown the ground beef in a large saucepan, drain fat.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients, except cheese and corn chips.
3. Simmer slowly, covered, for about a half an hour, stirring occasionally.
4. Serve in a large bowl topped with a sprinkle of cheese and a handful of chips.

The best of both worlds... chili and hot dogs! This is less a soup than it is a chili. It's nice and thick and hearty, and very kid-friendly. The kids will love the little bites of hot dog throughout the dish, and the beef makes it a complete meal for the grown ups. Topped with Fritos and cheese, you have a weekend fiesta winner here!
