1. Shape the beef into patties, place on a broiler pan and broil in a preheated broiler for 10 minutes, turning once.
2. Heat the pasta sauce in a saucepan for 5 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
3. Place a patty on a bun half, top with the sauce and add a slice of cheese.
4. Return to the broiler for 1 minute or until the cheese is beginning to melt.
5. Makes 4 open face burgers.
