Garlic and Herb Grilled Shrimp Skewers


* 8 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
* Juice from 1 whole fresh lemon
* 2 tsp rosemary
* 2 tsp thyme
* 2 tsp marjoram
* 2 tsp pepper
* 4 garlic cloves, minced
* 20 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
* lemon slices


1. In a large bowl put the butter and lemon juice, and whisk in the rosemary, thyme, marjoram, pepper and garlic.
2. Transfer the mixture to a large zip lock bag.
3. Put the shrimp in the bag and tightly seal.
4. Turn the bag several times to ensure the shrimp are covered in the marinade, and let sit in refrigerator for 1 hour.
5. Heat the grill to the medium high temperature.
6. Remove the shrimp from the marinade and thread onto soaked wooden skewers.
7. Grill the shrimp for 4 minutes then turn and cook an additional 3 minutes.
8. Serve the shrimp with a slice of lemon.


When you can get your hands on fresh shrimp, there is no better way to enjoy it than grilled. Fresh shrimp marinades very well, especially if the marinade is made with lots of herbs, lemon, and, of course, garlic. Enjoy!
