Lemon Soy Tahini Dip


* 2 tbsp tahini - sesame paste
* 2 tbsp water
* Juice of 1 lemon (or lime)
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 2 tsp soy sauce


1. In a small mixing bowl combine the tahini and water.
2. The mixture might look curdled but blend until smooth with a whisk.
3. Stir in the lemon juice, oil and soy sauce, and blend with a whisk.
4. Taste before serving and add extra seasoning if needed


Thaini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds. It is used most often in the Middle East. Any Middle Eastern food recipe will be enhanced with the flavor of tahini. It may be an acquired taste so using it in a limited way at first, like this dip, is a great way to develop a taste for it. Once you do, you will be hooked!
