Pork Chop Marseilles

Ingredients

* 4 pork chops
* 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 3/4 cup rice
* 1 large tomato, sliced
* 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
* 1 large onion, sliced
* 1 cup beef broth

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Brown chops in hot oil in a heavy skillet.
3. Put rice in baking dish.
4. Place browned chops on top.
5. Layer tomatoes, bell pepper and onion on top of chops and pour broth over vegetables.
6. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Story

The secret to these rich and flavorful pork chops is the beef broth. Of course, the combination of tomatoes, bell pepper, and onion give this dish a nice, rich, but fresh flavor.

Be sure to brown the pork chops thoroughly on both sides before putting them in the casserole. That will add a lot of flavor to your dish.
